How We Care

Compassionate support, from birth through the fourth trimester

Birth and postpartum support look different for every family. Our role is to meet you where you are and provide the kind of care that helps you feel rested, supported, and held, without ever replacing your medical team.

  • Comfort measures and encouragement
  • Help understanding your options
  • Support communicating with your care team
  • A steady, familiar presence in the room

Emotional Support

The postpartum period can be intense, especially when support feels limited.

  • Helping you feel seen and supported
  • Gentle check-ins through the transition

Practical Support

Small forms of help that make a real difference in recovery.

  • Light household help: dishes, laundry, tidying
  • Meal prep and nourishment support
  • Newborn care while you nap or shower
  • Help creating a calm daily routine

Family Transition Support

A new baby affects the whole household, not just the parents.

  • Helping partners adjust to new roles
  • Supporting older children through the change
  • Creating a supportive home environment
  • Encouraging connection and communication

Important to Know

This is supportive care, not medical care

Birth and postpartum doulas provide non-medical, non-clinical support. We work alongside your healthcare providers and encourage every family to seek medical care or emergency support whenever it's needed. A doula's role is presence, comfort, and practical help, never diagnosis or treatment.

Not a nanny We support the whole household through this season, not just childcare on a schedule.
Not a midwife We don't provide clinical prenatal, labor, or delivery care. That stays with your midwife or OB.
Not a nurse We don't perform medical tasks or monitoring. We're trained to recognize when to involve your medical team.

A Personalized Approach

No one-size-fits-all care

Every family's needs are different. Services are tailored based on your needs, availability, and comfort level. Specific details and scheduling are discussed during a consultation, before anything is decided.
